hi to all i am having trouble with the few stamps below finding the scott# maybe i am just looking too hard and missing them, but do need the numbers for my new filing system, any help would be appreciated View attachment 1709 View attachment 1710 View attachment 1711 View attachment 1712 View attachment 1713 View attachment 1714 View attachment 1715
the first three are semi-postals and have SC#'s of B121, B122, and B125 respectively. the 4th stamp is SC# 4691 the small 15 kon stamp next to it is (i believe) SC# 4602A the picture of the sun?: haven't found it (yet) the last one? SC# 2628
Thank you every one these are now in my filing system, and loaded to catawiki, i still have a few hundred more scans to load up, but this is what i have completed so far Steve http://www.catawiki.com/verzameling...a5a921ac63/g/na/s/1/0/SO_47/a?user=Daimon1963
It never ends, the scans and cataloging. Isn't it great, I am loving it. When I get (soon I hope, I am slow) done with Australia I hope to upload it to catawiki, with my Angola, Albania and Anguilla. The the rest of the A's. How do you scan a page of stamps and keep in at a low enough K-Bites to post?
when i scan a page i just leave it in 800dpi, once scanned i then open with paint and resize by 50 percent, save and check the size, if still larger than a 1MB file i just resize and save again until it is the size i need normally about 8-900kb other people may do it different, but that works for me, on catawiki you can load files up to 5mb, this does mean you can get great scans of the stamps you are uploading to your collection steve
My stamps are about 200 kb's, I had asked but never gotten an answer. So the answer is that this site can handle an upload of an 800 to 900 kb's. But my pages are over 1 MB as you have. I will have to post them when I get done. I also broke down and bought a collection program for my Mac. It works well by the fact it takes out the Doc and the spreadsheet files and I have only one file, one input. and in compresses it for storage, so my disk space is small. It allows me to collect anything. So when and if I get free time I can enter my coin collection also. It is called Lineup Multi collector for Mac Version, PC also there for you PC users.
i am having a look now, i use excel at the moment, and hyperlink each scott # to an image of the stamps working quite well so far
The one I have is called Numbers, it is Mac's spread sheet which is comparable to excel. I have written many a programs with excel for work, so I am no stranger to the program, But this one, Numbers is really a better program, it allows me to drop a jpeg right into a cell. But the nuts and bolts are the same. They are all the same except the fancy stuff, it all ends up columns and rows.
Me back again, i have managed to find, catalogue and update catawiki with all but these last few for CCCP, any help with these last few would be great, then that is all the scans i had updated, the rest and there are quite a few still need scanning when i get home, so i will start another country once i have these on. it is really hot here today a bit of a heat wave being 38c in the shade, thank god for aircon lol View attachment 1742 View attachment 1743 View attachment 1744 View attachment 1745 View attachment 1746 View attachment 1747 View attachment 1748
