My page 1 only has 2 stamps... a US 1, and a Penny Black. I don't intend to ever collect the reproductions (3 and 4), so I am going to mount a 'stampless' cover over that area. When the page is done, it is going to reflect the first stamp ever (Penny Black), US stampless, and the US 1&2. Basically a tribute to the beginning of stamps. Sorry for the poor quality pics. I don't have many early pages full, so scanning would be too in depth. View attachment 949 View attachment 950 View attachment 951 View attachment 952 View attachment 953 View attachment 954
Love it! I actually been contemplating doing an actual album. I really like the vario pages though. Yours looks great ratio!
I see someone else has a Mystic album. Its a Great album, and its very inexpensive. Wish they made albums for other countries. lol
Looks great. wish I had some of the hunting "duck" stamps. I've always liked them, just haven't found any for a good price or trade yet. And the first page looks good.... maybe a cover with 1 of those stamps should be used
I'd love to finish this page, but the 2 remaining holes to fill look like they are going to be very expensive. View attachment 963
I threw some extras on this page. I am not doing a set of revenues, but I have 2 of the stamps on this page that were converted to revenues by the IR overprint... I figured this would be a good page to put those since they are a direct offshoot, and there is no where else to put them. Same goes for the "Puerto Rico" overprint. Then the 'Offically Sealed" I stuck down at the bottom for giggles. Eventually I'd like to see most of these (other than the overprints) upgraded to unused... One day. I have an extra T2 10c you can see protruding from behind the other there. It is up for trading material. The 1c is mint with BEP selvage, but isn't centered well at all. View attachment 964
This is my favorite series. I can't wait to get them all upgraded to mint. Right now they are mostly used. I have the $1 Farrugat on the next page. It's a precancel, so I was able to get a used stamp with very good looks at a good price. View attachment 965
Some Washington/Franklin series with plenty of holes to be filled... View attachment 966 View attachment 967 View attachment 968

More modern stuff... I have 2 sets of each, one on the Mystic pages, and one clear over black stock page preceeding each Mystic set in the album. Where Mystic takes 2 or 3 pages to do a set, 1 of the stock pages will hold a set. View attachment 977 View attachment 975 View attachment 976
Anyone have the 2 impreforates to fill these holes? I'd take hole fillers, but would like unused to match what I have. View attachment 978

Thank you! My father did it. I was putting extra stamps on the pages at one time, but now I have too many extras to do that. Some of the mounts are not straight... Dad did that, he couldn't see well. He was also color-blind, so I find stamps in the wrong place now and again. I added mounts that weren't the same brand, so they are slightly different in size, even though the packages say they were the same size. The variation is slight, but noticeable when they are mixed on a page. Anyway, most of the credit goes to Dad for keeping it nice. Many of his stamps came from Mystic, so even the 'mint' ones are way off center. I intend to upgrade those one day to more centered examples. (I have already upgraded quite a few of those even in these pages here, but have more to go.)
it is a very nice collection, i have always prefered clear mounts they do not stand out as much as black ones
