The US Mint is bringing to market a set focused on FDR, including four stamps (also has some coins and medals). I was trying to look online for some good pics of the stamps it included but coming up blank. Anyone know what in there?

Here's the press release from the Mint

    Hi Peter...

Looking at the link you provided gives all the clues... the 1c through 5c are Scott # 930 - 933, worth about $4 in unused condition. Of value would be the .999 silver medallion, typically issued in 1 oz volume...

I used to collect all the US Mint stuff but, as someone else said on the site: I went through a 'poverty' period after a nasty divorce and had to sell a lot of my coin collection to get by. But I know that the asking price of this set is fair compared to the prices of metals and coins in the current market.

    Hope this helps...

Peter, the Mint website is showing the set on it's "featured" link. The zoom feature gives you a pretty good idea of the stamps they are talking about.

You can get a good look at the coins from the mint blog page.

The unanswered question might be: where are they gonna get 20,000 (each) of the 1-, 2-, 3-, 5-cent stamps. Print new ones? I doubt there's 4000 mint sheets of each of the stated denominations. Or all of a sudden my mint sheet set of that issue becomes a lot more valuable?!?!?

Not a big fan of FDR or his socialist policies, but will buy a roll of the presidential $'s so I can have a complete set of the rolls (of the presidentials). Used to be able to buy them thru my local bank, but now I've got to order them thru the US mint. The $ coins are still not popular - too confusing with quarters in spite of the color difference, and cash drawers at the stores are filled with 'other' things, e.g. booklet stamps, rolled coins of smaller denominations, etc. Supposedly. the Fed Reserve had to build a special warehouse to hold all the presidential dollars issued (as mandated by the US Congress)but never put into circulation; they've cut way back on the # minted for each president. I still think Australia, New Zealand and Canada got it right with their $1 and $2 coins.

I'm really going to have to go thru projectile vomiting if I ever have to buy a roll of presidential $'s with Obama's visage thereon.

AFTER I quit ROFLMAO, I agree with the above...
    1. I get my dollar coins through the Post Office postage machines and, surprise to me, the automatic car washes - slip in a $20 and out comes change in $1 coins.
    2. YES!! to the $1 and $2 coins... wish more folks would wise up...
    3. DEFINITELY diarrhea out of BOTH ends when the OBAMA coins come out... I am thinking now about how many ways there are to destroy them!!
