Hello there I was surfing a few different auction sites today and managed to pick up a #9 and a beautiful #63.
I apologize in advance for the crappy image as they are the sellers photographs. I know the #9 has a few faults but I can live with them for now. the #63, besides the centering, is in pretty darn good condition as far as I'm concerned! I got them both for under $40.00 shipped! So I'm pretty happy right now. Although the seller will have to wait for 2 day to get paid though! lol I still have a bid on one of his items that won't be up until early Wed.

Well done jay, i still have a mountain of these older types to sort through when i get back i hope to find some like this in my box ;)

although i am getting to the point where i might send them to you and let you sort for me as you know them all so well lol

I could do that but if your in Europe the postage might get expensive! You could send me large scans, that might be more safe and economical to boot! I'd be thrilled to help you sort and ID them Steve. -Jay

I will be more than happy to help you to Steve. The large banknotes are tricky, cause you need to know if the paper is hard or soft, for some of them.

that is why i think i will have to post them out to have done, but there are so many of them, but then if you found 2 of the same stamp and you do not have it then you could keep as a sorting fee ;)

but once sorted i would be putting the duplicates in here for trade anyway, let me know if this is ok, and i will post to you when i get back, i jusdt want to be able to put them in the correct place in my album, GB defs and comms are not an issue to me if anyone wants help with them

postage is n ot an issue for me, i could split between you and kacyds and have them done twice as quick ;)

i am just so cheeky

I also got a #78 but I didn't think it worth mentioning because the sellers scan is so small...haha

Seems like most #78 out there always have a cancellation that blocks the face. Hard to find one with a clear face. Another great find Jay.

Decided to scan mine and show you that mine is not a clear copy either. #78.jpg

Any while I am scanning the whole page...... Here is my #73, 75, 76, 77, and 78.

I need a good #77 like yours yet and that# 75 red brown I need also! What a wonderful page you have there! Do you have the #67 buff? I never seen one of those "in the flesh"...yet!
  15. steve logan Logie Bear (Moderator)

see now that is where i get lost all the number variations lol
  16. kacyds Well-Known Member

Yes I do, but it is ugly. All the perfs have been cut. Receive it in a collection, so its not like I paid much for it. It will do, until I get a better copy.

While Im at it, heres the rest of the page. Only two spots left to fill. lol

Still neat to see the design of it though. I like it! Nice page! Ahead of me on that beautiful #72 you got there!
Now does anyone have a #81. THAT would be something to see. I seen one in Washington D.C. one time but I'm not positive if it was considered an essay or if it was only a trial print or exactly what it was?
  18. kacyds Well-Known Member

Not even a spot for it in the album. lol Current Value is $100,000
