As long as this thread seems to be talking about trading stamps, I've got some Jamaicans to get rid of. Any interest?
here is my Jamacaican collection so far, i have found 15 different Vicky stamps, you can see them and all the others in the display case on catawiki by following the link below. (Elizabeth told me about the display case it is quite cool when just looking at your stamps) http://www.catawiki.com/verzameling...na/s/1/0/SO_47/a?vg=na&user=Daimon1963&view=d
ok, they don't offer a drooling smiley face, so imagine it here ____ because you tried to out-do me steve, i gotta pull out the "cool" ones... my bob marley collection...
they are very nice, i have the $10 used myself but would like the rest, but with about 5000+ new ones i have ordered while away i hope to have some more to add to each of my collections when i start sorting them on my return
i would like to finish the other marleys, plus get the series that has the $10 one, plus every other one. your collection beats mine all day, everyday. i was just trying to "one-up" you. quit making me look bad!!
i do not try and make people look bad with over 60,000 different stamps in my collection so far, it is hard not to have a few extra in some collections than other collectors, i do not intend to upset anyone! Steve
you're not upsetting me. i was trying to be "funny." haha, it's all good?? i really like your collection. i am trying to make mine as nice as yours! on a side note, i am trying to finish the first marley set. it's a hard one to finish! i have 5 of the 7, and have seen only 1 for sale of the 2 i am missing.
If they are still available Larry I would be interested in Row 6 #1,2 Row 7 all 5 Row 8 #2, 3, 4 I should be posting some BC for trade very soon
Dunno? What have you got for trade? I collect just about everything 'postage'-wise. I'm looking for used (recent) US postage, but that'd be based on a want list I'd have to put together. Just about any Ireland or Great Britain (after 1995), Germany (after 2001) [used is preferable in all cases]. There's a little value in a few of the stamps, this based on Scott values from 2003 catalog. Row 1, stamp 5 (Scott # 76; $1.40), Row 2 stamp 1 (Scott #83: $7.50), and maybe the UPS mint set @ $2.00. Everything else is pretty much $0.20-0.30 per stamp. I did add 5 more (different) stamps to the 'collection', for a total of 62? The whole lot for $5.00 or equivalent in catalog value in GB, Ireland, or German stamps? Stamps would be shipped 'loose' rather than in the stock sheet, or I'm afraid postage would eat me alive (assuming this shipment would go to England). Steve Logan has requested a few of the lower value stamps (see later post this thread). But as you were the first to express an interest, maybe you can work a swap with him later?
I sent a reply to Swish (he's got first dibs). I'll give you first shot at the BC posting for trade. The stamp show I went to a couple of weeks ago gave me about 2 stock pages worth of Montserrat, 1 page of Gold Coast and 5 pages of Ghana, and a yet to be determined (but probably 8+ pages) of Malta stamps for trade.
go ahead and trade with steve. i'll have to go through what i have, and i'll get back to ya. i don't have very much modern.
Swish deferred to you on your request, and he's still thinking about what to do with the remainder. I'll post your requested stamps to you tomorrow. As to what to trade? Perhaps one of the recent British sets? Your post office seems to come out with with those 'three different denomination' sets on a several times a year basis. Any one set issued after 1998 would suffice.
Hi Larry will pick one up for you today, but most sets run to 5 or more stamps these days LOL can not remember the last time we had a 3 value set
Ok. Well, do what you can to minimize your expenses for this trade - otherwise I'll be 'indebted' to you ntil the next trade !
LOL thats ok Larry I got you the British birds IV post and go Ps got that one as I was getting it for myself as well so saved me having to think LOL
