If you mean partials on just the stamp then I have thousands of them as I only collect used stamps. Do you specialize in stamps on piece adorned with the C.D.S. or the stamp with C.D.S. or both? Does it have to be complete to "count" in your collection? Sorry for all the questions but I want to keep a look out for some stuff for ya. Very cool! There are clubs and societies that specialize in all manner of cancellations! If you don't have any links I may be able to provide a few.
Jeff, Thanks for the questions. I dont go out my way to collect them. If it has anything to do with New Orleans, or cities of Louisiana, I just put them on the pages and in the album. I dont look for them in auctions or anything like that. lol If you have any stamps or covers, with New Orleans or Louisiana cities, and you dont want them, send them my way.
i believe they are from saudi arabia. the tree with the crossed sabre is on their flag, plus the stamps in the bottom pic say "k.s.a.", which i believe means kingdom of saudi arabia. but i could be wrong.
Getting back to the title of the Thread. How to collect cds - good - better best Good - if you find one like this on a piece of paper. Would not detract of value if the stamp was washed off to be added to your album Better - A neatly cut-out trimmed on all sides show the full cds - City (suburb) date (time) canceller number of origin. Best - Get the bigger whole picture if you can, it tells you more. Quality of the item, neatness, how it was posted to whom plaus you look on the back - arrival or seal cancel. You choose the way you want to collect !
