just went looking through the collections, TomD has started has a few countries and 53 stamps there for us to view, SamB is really getting off the ground with over 1400+ stamps in his collection catalogued and some very nice ones indeed.

Darrin has started up to 300+ now and can be viewed here

Working on it, not as many as you all. I do get overwhelm sometimes, but I step back and start again. I may be trying too much at one time, but I only want to do this once and have a ready reference source to help others. Some of the information at catawiki has holes in it due to the lack of information added. I am trying to catalog here at home first, then I will add each country as I get done. I know one day I will look and see a larger collection then now but it will be as impressive as all of yours.

Tom you take all the time you need, i understand that some of the Catawiki are not complete, but it is just waiting for people like us, who enjoy all the minor details to go in and update, but like you i am getting my stamps on there first, and will go back over what i can when i have time to find the detail to update with.

    Keep up the great work

once you start you can not stop as it highlights how many you are actually missing lol

But Catawiki appears to be better then what I have seen so far. I feel I am actually helping the stamp community at large by giving the most complete data I can on a stamp.
    Thats's just me.

but what if you don't collect by filling in an album? what if you collect topically? will it still say what you are missing?

when you enter your stamps, you have the option of themes, you can check as you load stamps on if your theme for the stamps is on the list if not just add and then finish loading, you can see my fire brigade themed stamps at the link below.
i would not say that Catawiki is the way for everyone, but for me after paying Stanley Gibbons for the last 10 years to use their catalouge on line, i feel very cheated when catawiki is 3x better and it is free.
you can also do a country search using themes, so you would be able to see what is missing, as long as they have been loaded that is lol

I have found that colnect is more helpful for topical collecting....but it might just depend on the topic

I have tried colnect, but I liked Catawiki as it offered more places for more data.
